Learning Rooms STEM Club – Summer challenges

Are you looking for engaging ideas to inspire young minds over the summer holidays?

Dr. Katherine Forsey, Gratnells’ Learning Rooms & STEM Consultant, has hand-selected 22 of her favourite STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) challenges to help you through the summer break. From catapults to kitchen chemistry, balloon powered LEGO cars to stomp rockets, there is plenty of fun to be had indoors and out.

Whether you’re a parent or a holiday club leader, there’s plenty to keep your wards occupied. All of the activities use simple household items, things that can be found in your recycling box, or kitchen cupboard staples so resourcing should not be a barrier to having a go.
