Learning Rooms STEM Club

In September 2021, the Gratnells Learning Rooms STEM Ambassador Team is launching the new Learning Rooms STEM Club providing free access to over 40 of our ready-made, tried and tested, STEM Club activities. Join this webinar to hear the story of our STEM Club’s creation and preview the six half-termly STEM Club activity packages. Hear about our case study schools and listen as we share our tips and best practice around STEM Club recruitment, engagement and resourcing. The Learning Rooms STEM Club activities also support and enrich teaching of the science and design and technology curriculum.

By the end of the webinar you will have:

  • Explored the free Learning Rooms STEM Club activities, resources and half-termly activity packages.
  • Heard how we are supporting case study schools.
  • Learnt how you can get involved with Learning Rooms STEM Club.

Webinar details:

Format: 30 min webinar followed by a free prize draw, where all live attendees will have the chance to win a Gratnells SortED set, before a 15 min open Q&A session with our speaker.

Audience: Suitable for teachers, technicians, teaching assistants, trainee teachers, after-school club leaders and staff, lunch club leaders, extra-curricular club leaders, community group leaders and all those looking to provide practical STEM opportunities for students in KS2 to KS3 (7-14 year olds).

Dr Katherine Forsey CSciTeach is the Learning Rooms and STEM Consultant for Gratnells. Katherine is a chartered science teacher and has created the majority of Learning Rooms’ science and STEM ‘What’s in my tray?’ resources. Katherine leads interactive practical workshops for teachers, technicians and students and, as an Explore Libraries volunteer and STEM Ambassador, she has been running a community STEM Club since July 2019.
