Gratnells marvellous medicine
Inspired by George’s Marvellous Medicine and Roald Dahl Day, here’s a fun #WhatsInMyTray activity that lets you make your own marvellous medicine with your class, just like George. You can use whatever ingredients you have around the classroom, or shop for the ingredients we used!
You will need…
- Water
- Washing up liquid
- Lemon juice
- Paint
- Shaving gel
- Food colouring
- Ironing water
- Flour
- Oil
- Sequins
- Glitter
What to do…
- Ingredient by ingredient, add to your medicine.
- Try exploring with ingredients with different textures, smells and colours to make your medicine more exciting

Gratnells Marvellous Medicine and George’s Marvellous Medicine are not for human consumption and should not be ingested. DO NOT mix chemical products if you are making your own marvellous medicine.
